What actually changed, and what it produced

Six local SEO engagements, written up honestly — including how long each one took and what didn’t work on the first attempt. Client names are used with permission; a few are anonymised at their request.

Four clinics that were cannibalising each other

A dental group with branches in Andheri, Bandra, Powai and Vile Parle. All four Google profiles targeted the same generic keywords, two had duplicate listings from a previous agency, and the group average rating sat at 3.9.

What we found

  • 41 citations carrying three different phone numbers across the four branches
  • Two duplicate GBP listings competing with the real ones, both unclaimed
  • Every profile using the same single category with no services listed
  • No review requests being made at all — 62 reviews across four clinics in six years

What we did

  • Split service-area targeting so each branch owned its own locality keywords
  • Cleaned all 41 conflicting citations and suppressed both duplicates
  • Rebuilt each profile with distinct categories, full service lists and treatment-specific photos
  • Launched a WhatsApp review flow triggered after each appointment
  • Published a locality page per branch with real practitioner and pricing detail

4/4Branches top-3 locally

The honest bit: months one and two showed almost nothing. Duplicate suppression took Google six weeks to action, and until that cleared the profiles kept splitting authority. The Andheri branch didn’t reach top-3 until month six.

★★★★★

“We’d been with two agencies before. First Page Fox was the first one that showed us a map of where we actually rank instead of a spreadsheet of keywords.”

Strong organically, invisible on the map

A modular interiors studio in Indiranagar ranking on page one for “modular kitchen Bangalore” — but appearing in the Map Pack only within about 3 km of the showroom. Everything beyond that went to three larger competitors.

What we found

  • A single GBP category (“Interior designer”) missing the high-intent product categories
  • No service-area or locality pages at all — one generic “Bangalore” page
  • Backlink profile almost entirely national design blogs, nothing Bengaluru-specific
  • Reviews solid at 4.6 but only 3 in the previous six months

What we did

  • Restructured GBP categories and added every product line as a listed service
  • Published 9 locality pages — Whitefield, HSR, Koramangala and others — each with real project photos from that area
  • Earned links from three Bengaluru design publications and a local architects’ association
  • Set up a post-handover review request with a QR code in the client welcome kit

The honest bit: our first three locality pages were too thin and didn’t rank. We rewrote them around actual completed projects in each area, with photos and budgets, and only then did they start pulling traffic. That cost us about six weeks.

Fitness · Delhi NCR · 6 locations

A franchise with no listing governance

A boutique gym chain across Gurugram, Noida and South Delhi. Each branch manager had edit access to their own Google profile and had been changing hours, names and categories at will. NAP data was different on all six.

What we found

  • Six branches, six different business name formats on Google
  • Three branches showing incorrect opening hours, one permanently marked closed
  • Reviews being answered inconsistently — one branch had never replied to any
  • No process preventing a manager from breaking a profile again next week

What we did

  • Standardised NAP to one canonical format and pushed it across every directory
  • Moved all six profiles under a single organisation account with role-based access
  • Wrote a one-page listing playbook branch managers actually follow
  • Built a per-branch review pipeline with SMS triggers from the gym CRM
  • Set up weekly Posts per branch driven by that location’s class schedule

The honest bit: governance was the hard part, not the SEO. Two managers kept editing profiles for the first two months until we restructured account permissions. Technology didn’t fix that — a conversation with the COO did.

★★★★★

“They built a listing playbook our branch managers actually follow, and now every location ranks. Reporting is genuinely readable.”
